Job Summary
Seeking a passionate advocate, the full-time Senior Litigation Counsel or Litigation Counsel will serve as lead counsel in trial and appellate litigation of church-state cases, working remotely while collaborating with a dynamic team to advance constitutional rights and fight against discrimination.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as lead counsel in church-state litigation across the country
- Draft and edit legal documents, conduct trials, and prosecute appeals
- Guide and mentor junior lawyers and legal interns while collaborating on integrated advocacy campaigns
Required qualifications
- At least three years of litigation experience; ten years for Senior Litigation Counsel
- Substantial experience as lead counsel in litigation or demonstrated ability to assume that role
- Exceptional analytical and writing skills
- Strong oral advocacy skills
- Commitment to advancing the public interest and the separation of religion and government
