Washington Licensed Litigation Counsel

Job Summary

Seeking a passionate advocate, the full-time Senior Litigation Counsel or Litigation Counsel will serve as lead counsel in trial and appellate litigation of church-state cases, working remotely while collaborating with a dynamic team to advance constitutional rights and fight against discrimination.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as lead counsel in church-state litigation across the country
• Draft and edit legal documents, conduct trials, and prosecute appeals
• Guide and mentor junior lawyers and legal interns while collaborating on integrated advocacy campaigns

Required qualifications

• At least three years of litigation experience; ten years for Senior Litigation Counsel
• Substantial experience as lead counsel in litigation or demonstrated ability to assume that role
• Exceptional analytical and writing skills
• Strong oral advocacy skills
• Commitment to advancing the public interest and the separation of religion and government
