Job Summary
Coordinating all aspects of the cancer program, the full-time salaried Washington Licensed Oncology Data Specialist will ensure compliance with standards set by the American College of Surgeons, oversee the Cancer Registry, and provide education and training to Oncology Data Specialists, while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Manage compliance with ACoS and COC standards for the cancer program
- Oversee the Cancer Registry, Cancer Committee, and Cancer Conferences
- Provide education and training to Oncology Data Specialists
Required qualifications
- National Oncology Data Specialist certification from the National Cancer Registrars Association upon hire
- 2 years of experience working in an ACoS approved Cancer Program as a Registrar
- Experience with computerized registry systems
- Ongoing maintenance of continuing education requirements for certification
