Job Summary

A company is looking for a Patient Benefits Specialist to verify patient eligibility and coordinate benefits remotely.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform insurance verification of benefit coverage for patient services
  • Document coinsurance, copay, deductibles, and authorization requirements
  • Obtain initial and reauthorization for patient services as needed
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
  • High School Diploma with 2 years of experience in patient registration or revenue cycle management, or 1 year with an Associate's Degree, LPN, or Pharm Tech license
  • Basic level skills in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Experience in insurance verification and patient financial responsibility determination
  • Knowledge of payer contracts and self-pay guidelines
  • Preferred licensure as LPN, RD, or Pharm Tech, and experience in infusion medical billing or admissions
