Washington Licensed Principal Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Principal Engineer, Seismic CSA Integration and Oversight.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development of seismic design and licensing requirements for advanced nuclear reactor projects
• Perform technical reviews and coordinate multi-system analyses related to seismic and structural requirements
• Ensure compliance with licensing and code requirements while monitoring subcontractor performance and facilitating technical reviews

Required Qualifications

• M.S. degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent relevant field
• 12+ years of experience in civil/structural design, analysis, and probabilistic risk assessment
• Experience with new nuclear power plant design projects and risk-informed methodologies
• Hands-on experience with structural design for external hazards like seismic loads
• Knowledge of commercial and nuclear standards, along with experience working with NRC or DOE regulations
