Washington Licensed RAC Engineer

Job Summary

To support nuclear and industrial projects, the remote contract RAC System Engineer (Process & I&C) will design mechanical, instrumentation, and control systems while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and promoting engineering best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop nuclear and industrial control systems, including documentation and specifications
• Establish design bases for equipment and instrumentation, ensuring integration and compliance with regulatory criteria
• Manage technical interfaces, review deliverables, and support I&C verification and validation activities

Required qualifications

• B.S. in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited university
• 6+ years of relevant experience for Level 10 or 10+ years for Level 11 with proven mechanical skills
• Experience in developing designs for complex structures and multi-discipline integration
• Strong understanding of configuration management principles in nuclear or complex industrial applications
• Previous experience with commercial nuclear reactors and systems or similar high-temperature pressure vessels (highly desired)
