Washington Licensed RAC System Engineer

Job Summary

To support nuclear and industrial projects, the remote contract RAC System Engineer (Process & I&C) will design mechanical, instrumentation, and control systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and integrating multidisciplinary engineering efforts.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop nuclear and industrial mechanical, instrumentation, and control systems, including documentation and specifications
• Establish design bases and ensure integration of instrumentation and control hardware, considering environmental factors
• Manage technical interfaces with suppliers and participate in project design reviews to ensure compliance and quality

Required qualifications

• B.S. in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited university
• 6+ years of relevant experience for Level 10 or 10+ years for Level 11 with proven mechanical skills
• Demonstrated experience in developing designs for complex structures and multi-discipline integration
• Strong understanding of configuration management principles and quality standards such as ASME NQA-1 or ISO 9001
• Previous experience with commercial nuclear reactors and systems is highly desired
