Job Summary
Washington Licensed Seismic Engineer, responsible for supporting seismic design and licensing activities for advanced nuclear reactor projects in a remote contract position.
Key Responsibilities
- Support development of plant-level seismic design requirements and strategies
- Perform technical reviews and coordinate multi-system analyses related to seismic assessments
- Ensure compliance with licensing and code requirements while monitoring subcontractor performance
Required Qualifications
- M.S. degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent relevant field
- 12+ years of experience in civil/structural design and probabilistic risk assessment
- Experience with new nuclear power plant design projects and risk-informed methodologies
- Knowledge of commercial and nuclear standards related to seismic design
- Familiarity with NRC or DOE regulations and quality standards such as NQA-1 or ISO 9001
