Washington Licensed Senior Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to support the Molten Chloride Fast Reactor program.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform component scoping to meet governing code and project requirements
• Generate basic sizing calculations and develop 3D models of reactor components
• Conduct technical reviews and coordinate with other disciplines to deliver mechanical design solutions

Required Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline) with 10+ years of relevant experience, or M.S. with 6+ years
• Recent experience with mechanical analysis software (ANSYS preferred) and CAD software (SolidWorks preferred)
• Experience with ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code and ASME B31 codes
• Experience working under a Quality Program (e.g., NQA-1 or ISO 9001)
• Knowledge of fabrication operations including machining, welding, and inspections
