Job Summary

Leading the design and analysis of advanced nuclear reactor systems, the remote contract Senior Mechanical Engineer - ASME Lead will focus on ensuring compliance with ASME Section III requirements while preparing and certifying design specifications and reports.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design and analysis of ASME Section III pressure boundary and internal reactor components
• Prepare, review, and certify Design Specifications (DS) and Design Reports (DR)
• Ensure compliance with ASME Section III, NQA-1, and NRC requirements while providing technical leadership to engineering teams

Required qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• 10+ years of equipment or component design experience
• Extensive experience with ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code Section III
• Demonstrated experience certifying Design Specifications and Design Reports for nuclear pressure-retaining components
