Job Summary

To support the design and development of advanced nuclear reactor systems, the contract Senior Mechanical Engineer ASME Lead will focus on the design, analysis, and certification of safety-related reactor components and pressure-retaining systems while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design and analysis of ASME Section III pressure boundary and internal reactor components
• Prepare, review, and certify Design Specifications (DS) and Design Reports (DR)
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams while ensuring compliance with ASME Section III and NRC requirements

Required qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• 10+ years of equipment or component design experience
• Extensive experience with ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code Section III
• Experience with finite element analysis and ANSYS
