Washington Licensed Underwriting Assistant

Job Summary

Supporting the binding process of insurance policies, the full-time Washington Licensed Underwriting Assistant will ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines and regulatory standards while managing documentation and communication between underwriters and brokers in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assists with the binding of insurance policies, ensuring accuracy and adherence to guidelines
• Coordinates communication between underwriters and brokers, responding to inquiries and providing revised quotes
• Maintains organized records of binding transactions and prepares reports on policy binding metrics

Required qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in the insurance industry or binding underwriting
• Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Business Administration, Business Operations, or Sales
• State P&C and/or surplus line licenses preferred
• Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) certification preferred
