Washington Senior Cloud Engineer

Job Summary

To support several upcoming cloud initiatives, the full-time contract Senior Cloud Engineer will design, implement, and optimize enterprise cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure environments while driving cloud governance, automation, and operational excellence remotely from anywhere within North America.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure environments in alignment with enterprise architecture standards
• Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, CloudFormation, and ARM templates
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support cloud migration, modernization, and standardization initiatives

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience
• 8+ years of hands-on cloud infrastructure engineering experience supporting enterprise environments
• Strong experience designing and deploying AWS infrastructure and cloud-native services
• Deep expertise with AWS and Microsoft Azure services
• Experience implementing cloud security controls and supporting cloud migration initiatives
