Washington State Care Advocate

Job Summary

Supporting Medicaid, Cascade Select, and Dual Special Needs Plan members, the full-time hourly Washington State Care Advocate will conduct outreach, facilitate health assessments, and assist members in navigating healthcare systems while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct telephonic outreach to complete Welcome Calls and Health Risk Assessments for members
• Educate members on accessing benefits and scheduling health screenings and appointments
• Triage inbound calls from members and refer them to appropriate staff as needed

Required qualifications

• Three years of experience in administrative, customer service, or patient services coordination in healthcare
• One year of experience as a Medical Assistant or in a related field is preferred
• Certification through an accredited medical assistant program or related certification is preferred
• Working knowledge of medical terminology and electronic medical records is preferred
• Ability to speak Spanish is preferred
