Job Summary

A company is looking for a COBOL Developer to support a state government project focused on automated client eligibility systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the State of Washington's ACES project, focusing on Medicaid and eligibility systems
• Develop, test, and maintain COBOL programs and CICS transactions
• Optimize DB2 queries and stored procedures to ensure system performance

Required Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in COBOL coding, debugging, and performance optimization (8+ years)
• Prior experience supporting a State Medicaid/Eligibility project
• Strong knowledge of CICS online transaction processing and system integration
• Advanced skills in DB2 database development, query optimization, and data management
• Extensive experience developing and maintaining JCL scripts for batch jobs
