Job Summary
Improving the quality and completeness of clinical documentation, the full-time Clinical Documentation Specialist RN will facilitate modifications through extensive interaction with healthcare staff to ensure appropriate reimbursement for services rendered, working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Enhance clinical documentation quality by collaborating with physicians, nursing staff, and coding personnel
- Conduct thorough reviews and modifications of clinical documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Utilize analytical skills to interpret policies and procedures related to clinical documentation and reimbursement
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nursing
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Washington State or Multistate License endorsement (MLS)
- Five years of recent ER and/or critical care clinical experience in a hospital setting
- Experience in utilization review and/or as a clinical documentation specialist preferred
