Job Summary

Working remotely in Washington State, the full-time Professional Fee Coder will be responsible for accurately abstracting professional fee diagnosis and procedural codes from physician documentation in accordance with CMS/HCFA guidelines while collaborating with compliance and clinical teams.

Key responsibilities

• Abstract relevant diagnosis and procedural codes from physician documentation
• Collaborate with compliance, clinical departments, and the Revenue Cycle team
• Address account problems using EPIC as needed

Required qualifications

• Completion of a credentialed Professional Fee Coding Course
• Minimum of two years of experience in medical coding or related fields
• Certification as a CPC-A, CPC, or specialty AAPC coding certification, or CCS-P through AHIMA
