Job Summary

To support a sophisticated international trade compliance program, the part-time Senior Counsel - Global Trade (Export Controls & Sanctions) will provide strategic legal guidance on U.S. sanctions laws and compliance initiatives while working mostly remotely from the Greater Seattle area.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on sanctions risks, due diligence, and compliance initiatives
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across legal, compliance, business, and engineering teams
• Advise on U.S. export controls and trade compliance issues within a multinational or technology-focused organization

Required qualifications

• Deep expertise in U.S. sanctions laws and international trade compliance
• Experience advising on EU and UK sanctions regimes
• Strong background in compliance initiatives within a technology-focused organization
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree and relevant legal experience
