Job Summary
To support the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences, the part-time hourly Watershed Planning Specialist will conduct geospatial analyses, develop prioritization models for green infrastructure, and prepare reports and presentations on watershed opportunities, with a focus on collaborative web mapping tools.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct geospatial analysis of watershed-related environmental conditions for planning and decision-making
- Develop and implement prioritization models for green infrastructure to integrate into web-based mapping applications
- Prepare and deliver reports and presentations on watershed green infrastructure opportunities to stakeholders
Required qualifications
- Master's degree in Ecology, Evolution, and Natural Resources or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of three years of relevant experience in watershed modeling and geospatial analysis
- Knowledge and experience with ESRI ArcPro and ArcGIS Online, including Arcade coding
- Proficiency in coding with R or Python for automating GIS and statistical analysis workflows
- Professional experience in GIS analysis
