Job Summary
Contributing to the development and enhancement of public-facing web applications, the full-time Web Application Developer will work remotely to improve functionality, create visually appealing interfaces, and support geospatial data processing for The National Map.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and maintain responsive web applications and interfaces using JavaScript and React
- Document development workflows and technical decisions through written documentation and code comments
- Collaborate effectively within a team to identify opportunities for application and process improvements
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Web Development, or a related field with 5+ years of relevant experience
- Proven experience with modern web technologies, particularly JavaScript and React
- Ability to document technical processes and workflows effectively
- Strong collaboration skills and initiative in improving applications and development processes
