Web Application Security Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Web Application Security Engineer responsible for protecting web-based applications and enhancing application security.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the onboarding of web applications into a CDN and manage WAF configurations
• Execute DAST scans to identify vulnerabilities and collaborate with teams for remediation
• Monitor application traffic and contribute to incident response efforts related to application-layer attacks

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience with WAF technologies and DAST tools
• 5+ years of proficiency with applications, databases, web services, and middleware servers
• 5+ years of experience with scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell
• Advanced understanding of web application security and OWASP Top Ten vulnerabilities
