Job Summary
Supporting the Federal Highway Administration's Office of Research, Development, and Technology, the full-time Web Content Specialist will write, edit, and maintain content for various web platforms while ensuring compliance with federal standards and delivering training to staff, with remote work anticipated and occasional travel required.
Key responsibilities
- Draft, revise, and finalize web content, coordinating approvals with FHWA contacts
- Utilize content management systems to upload and optimize web content for accessibility and SEO
- Develop and deliver training materials and conduct training sessions on web content tools for FHWA staff
Required qualifications
- 5-7 years of experience in web content management, with at least 3 years in the last 5 years
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related discipline
- Experience with content management systems like Drupal, SharePoint, or Google Sites
- Experience in the transportation sector, particularly highway or surface transportation research, is preferred
- Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance
