Web Developer
Job Summary
Supporting the VA's National Training and Support Program, the full-time Web Developer will design, develop, modernize, and maintain SharePoint, Internet, and Intranet websites to ensure compliance and accessibility for VA staff, stakeholders, and Veterans.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain websites to support NTSP program operations and stakeholder needs
- Conduct website assessments and create management plans, templates, and visual mockups for continuous improvement
- Monitor website performance and implement enhancements for accessibility, quality assurance, and SEO
Required qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant web development experience, including SharePoint and web-based platforms
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Web Development, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Prior experience with federal agencies or VA programs, and familiarity with VA digital standards
- Ability to obtain and maintain a VA Personal Identity Verification (PIV) credential
- Proficiency with Section 508 accessibility standards and web content management best practices
