Job Summary
Supporting the development and maintenance of a portfolio of websites, the full-time remote Web Developer II will enhance digital experiences by building and updating web pages, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring compliance with security and accessibility standards.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance websites and web applications using WordPress, PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL
- Independently manage assigned web properties, including routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and post-launch support
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support website launches, redesigns, and integrations while monitoring performance and security
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, web development, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Five or more years of professional web development experience, particularly with WordPress
- Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, modern JavaScript, and WordPress theme and plugin development
- Working knowledge of PHP, MySQL, REST APIs, and Git-based development workflows
- Experience applying web accessibility standards, with an understanding of website security and performance optimization
