Web Engineer Lead

Job Summary

Leading the engineering framework for a global web presence, the full-time Web Engineer Lead will design and enhance scalable architectures while collaborating cross-functionally to deliver high-performance, accessible, and AI-ready web solutions in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Driving modernization of a multi-domain website architecture, including consolidation and optimization for performance and accessibility
• Establishing advanced performance reporting and monitoring systems to tie web performance metrics to business outcomes
• Managing CMS architecture and migrations, ensuring seamless transitions and self-serve capabilities for content teams

Required qualifications

• 12+ years of hands-on web engineering experience with leadership in high-traffic, multi-domain web properties
• Deep expertise in Optimizely and WordPress, including backend development in .NET/C# and PHP
• Proficiency in frontend engineering with frameworks like React or Vue, ensuring responsive and accessible UI development
• Experience with cloud hosting on AWS and Azure, and leading large-scale CMS migrations
• Strong knowledge of technical SEO and AEO, including structured data and generative search platform readiness
