Web Engineering Director

Job Summary

Leading the strategy and development of the organization's digital web presence, the full-time remote Web Engineering Director will manage web architecture, performance optimization, and team execution while ensuring alignment with business growth objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Own the architecture, development, and maintenance of web properties, ensuring high-quality digital experiences through collaboration with design and content teams
• Drive technical SEO strategy and site performance optimization, implementing metrics for continuous improvement in load speed and user experience
• Lead and mentor a small internal web engineering team while managing relationships with external development agencies and vendors

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, web development, or a related field
• Minimum of eight years of progressive web engineering experience, including three years in a leadership role
• Deep expertise in WordPress and CMS platform architecture, including custom theme/plugin development
• Proven experience with HubSpot and Salesforce/Marketing Cloud integrations within a web environment
• Strong command of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP, with familiarity in REST APIs and webhooks
