Job Summary
To support critical applications, the contract WebSphere Application Server Administrator will provide IBM WebSphere System Administration, design and implement automation solutions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Provide middleware IBM WebSphere System Administration support for critical applications
- Design, develop, implement, and maintain automation solutions using Ansible, Python, and Shell scripting
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in automated systems
Required qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of HTTP, Application Server, Java, and Plugin components (version 8.5.5 and 9 ND edition)
- Proficient in troubleshooting, installations, failover, disaster recovery, and security configuration for WebSphere
- Strong UNIX and scripting skills (Shell Scripts, Python/Jython)
- Experience with Ansible automation and CI/CD-GitLab; familiarity with AWS and Terraform is a plus
- Knowledge of MQ, File Transfer, and Database (Oracle/SQL) connectivity to WebSphere
