Job Summary
To support optimal patient care and resource management, the part-time West Virginia Licensed Physician Advisor will collaborate with medical staff and hospital leadership to develop utilization management protocols, conduct physician education sessions, and investigate avoidable delays in patient care.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement utilization management protocols to optimize hospital services and patient care
- Conduct physician education sessions on data trends and regulatory requirements related to hospital services
- Investigate avoidable delays and denial trends, collaborating with medical staff to resolve issues and improve outcomes
Required qualifications
- Doctorate of Medicine from an accredited School of Medicine or Osteopathy
- Board certified by a board recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties
- Holds or is eligible for medical licensure in the State of West Virginia
- Minimum of 5 years clinical experience in the practice of medicine is preferred
