Job Summary

A school district is seeking a West Virginia Licensed Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing for an independent contracting role.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver virtual lessons and support services to students who are deaf or hard of hearing
  • Utilize technology and adapt instructional materials to accommodate different learning styles and language modalities
  • Provide individualized instruction, feedback, and support to students based on their specific needs
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, or a related field
  • Valid teaching certification/state license in Deaf Education or Special Education
  • Proven experience teaching students who are deaf or hard of hearing, preferably in a virtual or online education setting
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and familiarity with other communication modalities used by individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing
