Wholesale Energy Supply Director

Job Summary

Defining and leading the global strategy for procuring wholesale electricity, the full-time salaried Head of Wholesale Energy Supply will manage large-scale power purchase agreements and energy procurement frameworks to support data center capacity planning while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the global wholesale energy procurement strategy, including long-term power purchase agreements and capacity contracts
• Lead negotiations with independent power producers and utilities for large-scale electricity supply agreements
• Oversee wholesale energy portfolio management, including contract performance tracking and supply adequacy analysis

Required qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in wholesale energy procurement or power markets within large-scale industrial or technology contexts
• Experience managing energy portfolio risk, including counterparty exposure and price hedging
• Experience negotiating large-scale power purchase agreements in deregulated electricity markets
• Bachelor's degree in a directly related field or equivalent practical experience
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and presenting strategies to executive leadership
