Job Summary

Wholesale Markets Director leads the expansion of wholesale market services in a full-time, salaried role, focusing on developing strategies for monetizing Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) and ensuring compliance with market regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop economic strategies for utility clients to monetize aggregated resources in various markets
• Advise Product and Operations teams on market participation requirements and mitigate operational risks
• Build relationships with ISOs/RTOs and advocate for beneficial rule changes

Required Qualifications

• Expert-level knowledge of North American wholesale power markets (e.g., CAISO, PJM, ERCOT, MISO)
• Proven track record in managing behind-the-meter (BTM) or front-of-the-meter (FTM) assets
• Understanding of FERC Order 2222 and its implications for utility compliance
• Able to align external consultants with internal teams effectively
• Strategic vision for anticipating trends in wholesale energy markets
