Wholesale Underwriter

Job Summary

Evaluating mortgage loan applications remotely, the full-time Wholesale Underwriter will assess credit risk, ensure eligibility for secondary market sales, and manage loan pipelines while maintaining compliance with company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Process various loan programs and obtain required documentation within standard timeframes
• Communicate with Loan Officers and borrowers to ensure understanding of loan requirements and manage outstanding items
• Proactively identify and resolve issues related to loans, ensuring timely progression to closing

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in mortgage processing
• 2-3 years of preferred experience in Wholesale lending
• Ability to exercise good judgment and work collaboratively with team members
• Strong attention to detail with a low error/default ratio
