Wind Technician

Job Summary

As a full-time Wind Technician, the candidate will perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on wind turbine operations while collaborating with site leadership to ensure optimal function and adherence to contract obligations, with local travel required.

Key responsibilities

• Execute contractual obligations related to electrical and mechanical equipment in GE wind turbine generators
• Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on turbines
• Document work performed and respond to GE's remote operations center as needed

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 1+ years of experience as a Wind Technician or Wind Mechanic, or completion of a Wind Certificate Program/Associates Degree in Energy
• Passing a Technical Knowledge Assessment
• Basic computer skills
• Valid driver's license and ability to handle repetitive weight of 50 lbs
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts and on-call as needed
