Wind Technician

Job Summary

To maintain optimal function and output at the wind site, the full-time Wind Technician will perform daily turbine operations, safety checks, and quality control while collaborating with site leadership and managing warranty repairs, all within a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Execute contractual obligations and daily activities related to electrical and mechanical equipment in GE wind turbine generators
• Perform maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on turbines
• Document all work performed and respond to the remote operations center as needed

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, with 1+ years of experience as a Wind Technician/Wind Mechanic or equivalent education
• Passing a Technical Knowledge Assessment
• Basic computer skills
• Valid driver's license and ability to handle repetitive weight of 50 lbs
• Willingness to work in various environments and on rotating shift schedules, including potential overnight stays
