Wind Technician - OK Licensed
Job Summary
Working onsite in Sulphur, OK, the full-time Wind Technician - OK Licensed will maintain optimal function and output at the wind site by performing daily turbine operations, safety checks, quality control, and warranty repairs while collaborating with site leadership.
Key responsibilities
- Execute contractual obligations and daily activities related to electrical and mechanical equipment in GE wind turbine generators
- Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on wind turbines
- Document all work performed and communicate with GE's remote operations center as needed
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED with 1+ years of relevant experience or completion of a Wind Certificate Program/Associate's Degree in Energy
- Valid driver's license and ability to handle repetitive weights of up to 50 lbs
- Ability to climb towers up to 300 feet and work in various environmental conditions
- Basic computer skills and successful completion of a Technical Knowledge Assessment
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts and on-call as needed
