Windows Vulnerability Engineer

Job Summary

Driving vulnerability remediation efforts, the permanent remote Windows Vulnerability Engineer will accelerate patching activities across Windows Server infrastructure while utilizing automation tools such as Chef and Ansible.

Key responsibilities

• Manage vulnerability remediation and patch management for Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 environments
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell, Chef, and Ansible for server-side operations
• Interpret vulnerability scan findings and coordinate closure verification across multiple support teams

Required qualifications

• 6-10 years of hands-on experience with Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 in enterprise environments
• Proven experience in driving vulnerability remediation and patch management
• Expertise with vulnerability scanners like Qualys, including interpreting findings and validating false positives
• Strong scripting skills in PowerShell and familiarity with Ruby for Chef-based remediation
• Solid understanding of Windows security fundamentals, including patching and permissions management
