Job Summary
Providing essential policy analysis, the full-time Budget Policy Analyst will support decision-makers at the Department of Children and Families by developing budget requests, analyzing funding sources, and delivering excellent customer service, with the possibility of hybrid work arrangements.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain sections of the Department's biennial budget request and annual operating budget
- Analyze state and federal funding sources while providing expertise and guidance to program divisions
- Produce policy communications and issue papers for executive staff regarding budget allocations and financial strategies
Required qualifications
- Experience working with data and manipulating data in Excel, including creating charts and forecasts
- Experience analyzing and developing policy
- Experience delivering financial budget or policy communications to executive staff
- Experience in public sector budgeting and working with multiple funding sources
- Experience with federal grants
