Job Summary

Providing essential policy analysis, the full-time Budget Policy Analyst will support decision-makers at the Department of Children and Families by developing budget requests, analyzing funding sources, and delivering excellent customer service, with the possibility of hybrid work arrangements.

Key responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain sections of the Department's biennial budget request and annual operating budget
  • Analyze state and federal funding sources while providing expertise and guidance to program divisions
  • Produce policy communications and issue papers for executive staff regarding budget allocations and financial strategies
Required qualifications
  • Experience working with data and manipulating data in Excel, including creating charts and forecasts
  • Experience analyzing and developing policy
  • Experience delivering financial budget or policy communications to executive staff
  • Experience in public sector budgeting and working with multiple funding sources
  • Experience with federal grants
