Job Summary

Overseeing financial operations for complex insurance programs, the full-time salaried Wisconsin Licensed Accounting Director will manage a team of accounting professionals, ensure compliance with financial reporting objectives, and serve as a technical advisor on insurance program accounting.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise a team of accounting staff and oversee fiscal operations for multiple insurance benefit programs
• Formulate and evaluate financial policies while ensuring all financial reporting objectives are met
• Participate in the design, implementation, and maintenance of large financial technology systems

Required qualifications

• Formal supervisory experience in a financial environment, including hiring and performance evaluation
• Experience in performing complex reconciliations
• Proficiency in preparing or auditing financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Experience developing and maintaining internal controls in a financial setting
• Knowledge of accounting functions specific to insurance programs
