Job Summary
To support the adjudication of Behavioral Health prior authorizations, the full-time Wisconsin Licensed Behavioral Health Specialist will evaluate submissions based on medical necessity and eligibility, utilizing multiple computer systems in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Review and evaluate prior authorization submissions and seek additional information from providers as necessary
- Enter prior authorization outcomes into the Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) for processing
- Provide assistance and education to the provider community regarding prior authorization submissions
Required qualifications
- Master's degree in counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, or equivalent
- A minimum of 5 years of clinical work experience
- Current LPC, LCSW, or LMFT license in the state of WI (or ability to obtain prior to position start date)
- CSAC or SAC license in the state of WI (CSAC preferred)
- Knowledge of and/or experience with the Wisconsin Medicaid program is desired
