Job Summary
Wisconsin Licensed Care Advocate is a full-time position responsible for facilitating the treatment process from admission to discharge, monitoring patient care, and collaborating with clinical teams to ensure quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and track patient care, acting as a liaison with third-party payers for medical necessity authorizations
- Support process improvement initiatives within the Utilization Review department and assist new care advocates
- Provide ongoing communication and customer service to stakeholders, including patients and clinical teams
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
- Bachelor's Degree required; Behavioral Science preferred
- Two years of previous work experience in an office or hospital setting preferred
- Knowledge of managed care, Medicaid, and Medicare
- Utilization review experience in a hospital, outpatient, or managed care setting preferred
- Computer skills required, including proficiency in word processing and data processing
