Job Summary
Providing leadership in the treatment process, the full-time salaried Wisconsin Licensed Care Advocate will coordinate patient care, advocate for medical necessity authorization, and support process improvement initiatives while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Act as the liaison between the organization and third-party payers for medical necessity authorizations and documentation compliance
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure quality patient care and manage discharge planning
- Support process improvement initiatives and assist new care advocates in adhering to standard work
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree required; Behavioral Science preferred
- Two years of previous work experience in an office or hospital setting preferred
- Knowledge of managed care, Medicaid, and Medicare
- Utilization review experience in a hospital, outpatient, or managed care setting preferred
- Computer skills required, including proficiency in word processing and data processing
