Job Summary

Leading a large team of claims associates, the full-time salaried Wisconsin Licensed Casualty Claims Director will provide strategic oversight and operational direction in the casualty claims environment, focusing on complex exposures including Commercial Auto, Transportation Trucking, and General Liability while ensuring compliance and superior customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop leaders within the claims team, fostering a high-performing culture and continuous learning
• Guide financial and technical outcomes by managing complex authority reserving requests and providing expert negotiation guidance
• Drive strategic initiatives related to claim operations and regulatory compliance, establishing robust management controls and protocols

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience; Juris Doctor preferred
• 8+ years of related work experience with management and leadership experience in claims, particularly in commercial auto and general liability
• Strong technical expertise in claims policies and practices, as well as knowledge of applicable laws affecting claims
• Proficient in contracts, service level agreements, and negotiation skills
• Familiarity with Sentry's philosophies, products, and systems is advantageous
