Job Summary

A company is looking for a LTC Technical Claims Consultant.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise in handling complex, contestable, sensitive, and large benefit amount claims
• Assist staff with claims review, appeals, and legal consultations, including preparation for litigation
• Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives and support the development of Claims Analysts and Specialists

Required Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent experience with five+ years in medical and claims/underwriting
• In-depth knowledge of high dollar and contestable claims
• Strong understanding of disability income, life waiver of premium, death, and long-term care claims
• Proven ability to lead and mentor others effectively
• Extensive knowledge of medical and legal terminology, underwriting principles, and claim administration
