Job Summary

To enhance clinical documentation quality, the full-time Wisconsin Licensed Clinical Documentation Specialist will communicate with healthcare teams to clarify and obtain necessary medical record documentation, ensuring accurate representation of patient severity and care complexity in a fully remote setting.

Key responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth chart reviews to identify missing or unclear documentation
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to clarify documentation supporting severity of illness and complexity of care
  • Complete extensive training modules and work one-on-one with a CDI trainer
Required qualifications
  • Minimum of two years' acute care hospital experience
  • Experience in critical care, general medical, and/or surgical nursing
  • Previous experience with criteria-based chart reviews such as case management or quality improvement
  • Knowledge of ICD code assignment and DRG assignment preferred
  • Experience in educational presentations is beneficial
