Job Summary
To support the State of Wisconsin's cybersecurity initiatives, the full-time Wisconsin Licensed Cloud Architect will serve as a strategic advisor to the CISO, providing hands-on engineering and mentoring to implement the Accelerated Exposure Reduction Plan while working remotely with occasional onsite visits.
Key responsibilities
- Act as a technical advisor to the CISO, translating mandates and architectural gaps into actionable security directives
- Deliver hands-on knowledge transfer and co-engineer security automation alongside internal staff
- Architect and implement automated tracking and compliance mechanisms for the State's Flaw Remediation Standard
Required qualifications
- Proven experience advising senior executives in public sector or federated enterprise environments
- Expertise in operationalizing security controls and risk governance structures
- Fluency with enterprise cybersecurity tools such as Google Threat Intel, Microsoft Azure Arc, and Ansible Tower
- Experience in DevSecOps engineering and cloud architecture
- Documented success in mentoring and training technical staff
