Job Summary

A company is looking for a Commercial Underwriter.

Key Responsibilities

• Underwrite new commercial business, renewal policies, and policy endorsements to meet agency profitability and production objectives
• Evaluate individual risks and support the Commercial Enterprise Division in identifying corrective measures for underwriting profit
• Assist in developing written premium goals and promote product benefits to agencies through personal visits and communication

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Three years of experience in commercial multi-line underwriting
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, or a related field
• Completion of a certificate in General Insurance and Associate in Underwriting program
• Experience in providing guidance and mentoring support to junior underwriters
• Ability to analyze agency performance and develop action plans as needed
