Job Summary
Supporting gas distribution projects in Green Bay, Wisconsin, the part-time Wisconsin Licensed Gas Distribution Designer will prepare design drawings and project deliverables while working in a hybrid office environment, focusing on safety, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare design drawings and construction-related documents for natural gas distribution projects
- Interpret sketches, specifications, and utility records to develop accurate design deliverables
- Perform pre-design site visits to verify existing conditions and gather field information
Required qualifications
- 3-5+ years of experience in gas distribution, utility design, or related drafting/design work preferred
- Strong experience using Computer-Aided Design software, such as AutoCAD or similar tools
- Ability to perform field visits and translate field conditions into accurate design documents
- Familiarity with client-specific utility design platforms or ability to quickly learn new design software
- Understanding of utility design standards and construction drawings
