Job Summary

A company is looking for a Remote Medicare & Medicaid Eligibility Specialist (Advocate).

Key Responsibilities

• Make and receive calls to assist members with Medicaid and Medicare applications and retention
• Assess eligibility for benefits through targeted questions and explain regulations in simple terms
• Gather and verify personal information for accurate enrollment and maintain compliance with regulations

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• 2-3 years of experience in healthcare, eligibility screening, case management, or high-touch customer service
• Knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, SCHIP, or Special Needs Plans (SNP) is preferred
• Proficiency in navigating multiple software systems and databases
• Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
• Strong critical thinking skills to manage difficult conversations and clarify information
