Job Summary

A company is looking for a Property and Casualty Underwriter responsible for managing a portfolio of accounts and driving new and renewal business opportunities for Property and Casualty insurance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Underwrites new and renewal property and casualty business and analyzes documentation according to underwriting standards
  • Evaluates risks to determine acceptance, modification, or decline of coverage and sets appropriate terms and premiums
  • Maintains relationships with brokers and manages production activities to ensure timely and quality service to clients
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Risk Management, Actuarial Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline
  • 5+ years of experience in Property and Casualty Underwriting
  • Must meet minimum requirements for state P&C and/or surplus line licenses
  • Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation is a plus
