Job Summary
To support a growing behavioral healthcare program, a Wisconsin Licensed Psychiatrist will provide on-site evaluations and medication management one day per week, collaborating with clinical staff and ensuring comprehensive psychiatric care for clients.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct initial psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments for clients in the PHP/IOP program
- Manage medication regimens, including prescribing and monitoring psychotropic medications
- Collaborate with therapists and nursing staff on treatment planning and participate in treatment team meetings
Required qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) with completion of an accredited psychiatric residency
- Active, unrestricted license to practice medicine in Wisconsin
- Board certified or board eligible in Psychiatry through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN)
- Active DEA registration for prescribing controlled substances in Wisconsin
- Prior experience in a PHP, IOP, or similar outpatient behavioral health setting preferred
