Providing comprehensive legal support, the part-time Wisconsin Licensed Senior Counsel will manage contracts, conduct legal research, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Review and negotiate contracts related to physicians, suppliers, and independent contractors
- Provide legal advice and guidance on various healthcare and business-related issues
- Design and implement company policies to manage legal risks and ensure compliance with applicable laws
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree and a Juris Doctorate Degree required
- Current state license to practice law
- 7 to 10 years of healthcare law experience, including physician contracting
- 3+ years of corporate, regulatory, or transactional experience in a law firm setting
- Solid knowledge of HIPAA, Affordable Care Act, Medicare, Medicaid, Stark law, and False Claims Act
